The governorates of Erbil and Istanbul held a meeting

As part of his official visit to Turkey and participation in the MUSIAD EXPO 2024 exhibition, on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil, met with Davut Gil, the Governor of Istanbul, at the Istanbul Governor’s Office.
 

During the meeting, which was also attended by Gaylan Haji Saeed, President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce, and an assistant to the Governor of Istanbul, the Governor of Erbil conveyed the greetings and regards of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani of the Kurdistan Region to the Governor of Istanbul. He emphasized the importance of enhancing and strengthening relations between Erbil and Istanbul.
 

In another part of the meeting, discussions were held regarding facilitating the travel of citizens between Erbil and Istanbul. The Governor of Erbil highlighted the frequent complaints from Kurdistan Region citizens about facing significant inconveniences and mistreatment at Istanbul Airport. He expressed his hope that these issues would be resolved and that such behavior would no longer occur.
 

The Governor of Istanbul affirmed his commitment to addressing these problems and ensuring a better experience for travelers.
 

In conclusion, the Governor of Erbil officially invited the Governor of Istanbul to visit Erbil, and Davut Gul graciously accepted the invitation.
