 Erbil... Ceremony for Providing Two Emergency Response Vehicles for the Rapid Response Unit (RRU) Teams of Shaqlawa and Raperin

Today, Sunday, January 11, 2026, in the presence of Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, Srwa Rasul, Director General of the Joint Crisis Coordination Centre (JCC), the Acting Consul General of Germany in Erbil, Major General Yadgar Anwar, Director General of Civil Defense for the Region, Naz Jalal, Director of Crisis Management for the Governorate, and a number of other representatives of organizations and other government officials, a ceremony was held to conclude a training course for the RRU team.
 

In this ceremony, two emergency response vehicles, fully equipped, which were provided by the Joint Crisis Coordination Centre in coordination with the German Ministry of Interior, were handed over to both Rapid Response Unit (RRU) teams in Shaqlawa and Raperin.
 

During the ceremony, the Governor of Erbil, in a statement to the media, congratulated the teams and highly praised the work and duties of the Rapid Response Unit (RRU) teams in Erbil Governorate specifically and the Kurdistan Region generally.
 

He also commended all the leaders and members of the teams, who have always been on the front lines during any incident or disaster, whether within the country or abroad, especially during the earthquake disaster in Turkey, where the teams from Erbil and other governorates of the Region were among the first to arrive at the scenes and assist their brothers and sisters in northern Kurdistan, which was a source of pride for the Kurdistan Region.
