Governors of Erbil and Duhok and Supervisor of Soran Independent Administration Arrive in Van

On Saturday evening, June 6, 2026, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil; Dr. Ali Tatar, Governor of Duhok; and Halgurd Sheikh Najib, Supervisor of Soran Independent Administration, accompanied by an official delegation, arrived in the city of Van to participate in the International Breakfast Day Festival. They were received by Necdet Takva, Head of the Executive Committee of the Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry, other administrative officials of the city, and prominent figures from the region.

During the meeting, Van officials expressed their pleasure at the visit of the Kurdistan Region delegation and stated that this visit would have a positive impact on strengthening friendship and developing trade and tourism relations between the two sides.
 

As part of this visit, the Governors of Erbil and Duhok and the Soran Independent Administration are scheduled to participate in the International Breakfast Day Festival and hold several other official meetings with officials from Van Province to discuss further development of relations and cooperation between them.
