Erbil – The Kurdistan Forum for Inclusive Employment and business Held

On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, the "Kurdistan Forum for Inclusive Employment and Business" was held in the presence of Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil; Dr. Mohammed Shukri, Chairman of the Investment Board; Zakia Said Salih, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs; Aryan Salahuddin, Deputy Minister of Culture; Matthias Weller, Deputy Consul General of Germany; Dr. Yara Barzanji, Director of the Kurdistan Foundation; Dr. Khanzad Ahmad, Secretary General of the High Council for Women and Development, as well as a number of other officials.
 

The Kurdistan Forum for Inclusive Employment and Business is supported by the Kurdistan Foundation and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The primary objectives of this forum are to strengthen the private sector, establish inclusive employment, create job opportunities for the youth, and revitalize the economic infrastructure of the Kurdistan Region.
 

During the forum, discussions were held regarding the importance and methods of formulating future employment policies. It was emphasized that inclusive employment is a key factor in boosting economic development and social cohesion by utilizing the hidden potential of individuals and members of the community.
