 Erbil… The fourth session of the Inclusive Employment Platform was held in the city of Erbil under the title:

On Wednesday, July 29, 2026, the fourth session of the Inclusive Employment Platform took place in Erbil. The event was attended by Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil; Zakia Sayed Salih, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG); the General Directorate of the Joint Crisis Coordination Centre (JCC); and representatives from various KRG ministries and institutions, as well as several international and local organizations.
The session was organized by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and GIZ, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the German Consulate, and with technical support from the International Labour Organization (ILO). The initiative aims to support the economic and social participation of refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and host communities in Iraq.
 

During the session, participants exchanged views and discussions on how to establish a legal, organized, and efficient system for managing foreign labor in the Kurdistan Region. The goal is to ensure that the labor market, workers' rights, and the general public interest are protected internally.
