Erbil Folk Arts Group Presents Erbil Governorate Shield to the Governor of Płock in Poland
On the evening of Tuesday, August 18, 2026, as part of the Erbil Folk Arts Group's participation in an international festival in the city of Płock, Republic of Poland, the Governor of Płock warmly welcomed the group during a folk performance ceremony.
During the meeting, Sirwan Osman, the Director General of Arts and Culture in Erbil, presented the Erbil Governorate Shield to the Governor of Płock on behalf of the Erbil Governorate. The shield features depictions of the historic Erbil Citadel and the Mudhafaria Minaret.
This meeting and reception, along with the group's performances of traditional Kurdish dance, music, songs, and national attire, provided a significant opportunity to introduce Kurdish heritage and authentic identity on an international platform.
During their participation, the Erbil Folk Arts Group performed several dance showcases alongside folklore groups from various other countries.
