Governor of Erbil Receives Delegation of Arab Students

Today, Thursday, August 20, 2026, Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil, received a group of students from various Arab countries at the governorate office. The delegation is visiting the city of Erbil to learn about the culture and progress of the Kurdistan Region.
 

During the meeting, which was attended by Gaylan Sulaiman, Head of the Minara Branch, of the Kurdistan Democratic Students and Youth Union, the Governor welcomed the guests and expressed his pleasure regarding the visit of young men and women from Arab countries to the capital of the Kurdistan Region.

He emphasized that the capital, Erbil, always keeps its doors open for cultural and scientific exchange and expressed his support for strengthening relations between the students and youth of Kurdistan and the Arab world.

For their part, the students expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the Governor of Erbil and the relevant authorities for the warm reception. They also expressed their admiration for the stability, growth, and various advancements they observed in the capital city.
