In Erbil... National Day of the People's Republic of China Celebrated

Tonight, Wednesday, September 16, 2026, the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China held a ceremony to celebrate the National Day of China, marking the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

The event was attended by Sidad Barzani, representing President Masoud Barzani; Mala Mustafa Barzani; Fawzi Hariri, representing the President of the Kurdistan Region; the Vice Presidents of the Kurdistan Region; alongside a distinguished gathering of ministers, government officials, representatives of political parties, members of the diplomatic corps, international organizations, and public figures.

During the ceremony, attendees highlighted the importance of relations between the People's Republic of China and the Kurdistan Region across commercial, technological, and cultural domains. Warm congratulations were extended to the Chinese Ambassador and Consul General on the occasion, reaffirming a mutual commitment to further enhancing bilateral ties with the Kurdistan Region.
