Erbil Governor: We will be a worthy example for Defending the rights of all classes, especially women in Kurdistan

Erbil Governor: The government's policy towards women's issues and protection of their human and legal rights is unchanged.
November 25, is celebrated as International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The efficiency of this vibrant section of society in the Kurdistan Region launched a 16-day campaign to combat violence against women in order to raise social awareness.
As emphasized in the message of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government: “The KRG's unchanged stance in confronting and eliminating any form of violence, Discrimination and violence against women were particularly emphasized”. In other words, this important issue is an unchanging policy on the government's agenda. This is what Mr. Masrour Barzani has reiterated in the past, this is one of the priorities of the ninth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
It has been to provide the conditions for Kurdistan women to play their active and effective role in various positions of governance in the Kurdistan Region
The Kurdistan Region has been a shining example of protecting women's rights and human rights in general.
Enactment of a number of laws protecting women's issues such as the law against domestic violence. It also enhances the capacity of government agencies to combat violence against women and organizes regular training workshops for police officers
All of these tell us the fact that the government's policy towards the issue of women and defending their human and legal rights is an unchanging proportion and shows that the government considers the routine on its own path and a part of life, vitality and democracy.
As Erbil Governorate, we reiterate that we will be a worthy example to defend the rights of all classes and sections, especially women in Kurdistan.
