Erbil: Project of installation of solar energy system for forty (40) village water wells

 

Sunday morning, November 27, 2022. In the presence of Omed Khoshnaw, Erbil Governor, Ghimar Deeb, UNDP Deputy Resident Representative, Abdulrahman Sadiq, Chairman of the Regional Environmental Protection and Rehabilitation Board, Massoud Karash, Deputy Governor, Assistant Governor, Erbil Central Mayor and several experts in the fields of energy, water and agricultural environment. The project of installing solar energy systems for forty (40) agricultural wells and five (5) drinking water wells in rural areas of Erbil governorate has been completed. The governor of Erbil expressed his pleasure at the completion of this important project, which is to serve the farmers and villagers of Erbil. It also plays a significant role in the environment and keeping the atmosphere clean and other plans can be based on it in the future. Several speeches were delivered at the ceremony. The project cost $2 million, funded by the European Union and implemented by two companies.
