Efraz 3 pipe replacement project in Erbil Starts Today
Efraz 3 Project, which provides 40% of drinking water to the population of Erbil, due to violations and excesses on the pipeline, the pipeline broke several times and for a while most of the residents of Erbil were without water, in order to solve the problem, the pipeline of the third Erbil water transmission line from GRP pipeline (1500) mm diameter to carbon steel pipeline.
Prime Minister Masrour Barzani has approved the payment of the project, which is (20 billion 842 million 500 thousand 600) dinars.
The amount of (4 billion 354 million 750 thousand dinars) will be spent by the Council of Ministers for the implementation of the first phase of the project.
The first phase of the pipeline replacement project will start today Sunday, Decemebr 11, 2022. At the Marouda Central Station with a length of 2750 meters with a 1.5-meter carbon steel pipeline to reach 108 of Ankawa out of the 11 kilometers where the old pipeline will be replaced.
The first phase of the water pipeline protection project will be supervised by several expert engineers from the General Directorate of Water and Sewerage of the Kurdistan Region and the Erbil Water and Sewerage Directorate in coordination with the Erbil governorate
This will solve the problem of broken pipeline in the area and will lead to the development of the project and improve the process of distributing drinking water to the citizens.
