Germany has donated 20 flood fighting equipment to the General Directorate of Crisis Coordination

Today, Sunday, December 11, 2022. Erbil Governor, Omed Khoshnaw met with German Consul General, Klaus Dieter Streicher, in Erbil.

The meeting was attended by Hussein Kalari, Director General of Crisis Coordination in the Ministry of Interior and Srwa Rasul, Director of Crisis in Erbil governorate, and a number of other crisis coordination officials were present. The governor of Erbil, while stressing the importance of strengthening relations between the Kurdistan Region and Germany, thanked the German people and government for all the assistance and coordination they have provided to the Kurdistan Region and Erbil.

For his part, the German Consul General in Erbil thanked the Governor of Erbil and the Kurdistan Regional Government and stressed the continuity of support and humanitarian assistance of his country.

Finally, 20 specialized equipment from KRI was handed over by the German Consulate in Erbil, which will be used by specially trained teams to respond and deal with floods, to the General Directorate of Crisis Coordination in the Ministry of Interior of the Kurdistan Region.
