Erbil Governor: "We are making every effort to make the agricultural sector an important economic resource of the Kurdistan Region"

On Wednesday, December 14, 2022. Erbil Governor, Omed Khoshnaw, in the presence of Erbil Director General of Agriculture, received a delegation from the UAE representing Al-Barari Company, a member of the Natural Resources Group of Companies, At the beginning of the meeting, the guest delegation highlighted the purpose of their visit to the Kurdistan Region and Erbil, which aims to market local products and facilitate investment in the agricultural sector and livestock.

Then they discussed how to maintain food security, marketing local products, exchange, import and export of agricultural products within the framework of establishing a sales center. Both sides agreed to develop a long-term joint plan and strategy to further develop the export of agricultural products and livestock from the Kurdistan Region to the UAE and other countries.

For his part, the governor of Erbil, highlighted the agricultural sector and domestic products and marketing of products and said: "We are making every effort to keep the agricultural sector in the Kurdistan Region and Erbil to remain good and become an important economic resource.". He also stressed on providing all facilities for the development of domestic production and marketing of agricultural products in Erbil province and the Kurdistan Region.

In the end, the guest delegation thanked the Governor of Erbil for all the cooperation and support and emphasized on all coordination with the Governor of Erbil.
