The Governor of Erbil and the Consul General of South Korea in Erbil discussed the importance of paying more attention to the private sector
On Tuesday, December 20, 2022. Erbil Governor, Omed Khoshnaw received Mr. Cho Kijoung, Consul General of South Korea in Erbil.
In the meeting, the South Korean Consul General expressed his pleasure to meet the Governor of Erbil and praised the successes that Erbil is seeing thanks to him, he reiterated that his country is very satisfied with the strong relations with the Kurdistan Region in general and Erbil in particular. He stressed that Korea wants Erbil to be the starting point of their companies in Iraq.
In turn, Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw welcomed the South Korean Consul General and stressed that Korea has always had constructive and strategic projects in the past at the level of the Olive unit and KOICA and now at the consular level.
They have always had constructive and strategic projects, especially in the field of education and health sector and they have also been a significant contributor to the crisis department in Erbil governorate.
The governor hoped that the level of their relations will see more progress in the future and joint teams to study the projects "that Erbil needs" so that together we can put the stamp on success for many years.
The governor explained that the agenda of the governorate is clear to give more priority to domestic production and the private sector should coordinate with foreign companies and plan together for joint service work.
