The governor of Erbil, chaired a special meeting on Christmas and New Year's Eve

On Tuesday, December 20, 2022. Erbil Governor, Omed Khoshnaw chaired a meetin in the governor's office to discuss the Christmas and New Year's Eve celebrations and preparations to say goodbye to 2022 and welcome the New Year in order to protect the property of citizens and tourists and prevent any unwanted and illegal incidents. The meeting was attended by Hemin Qadir and Massoud Karash, Deputies of Governors of Erbil, all security forces (police, security, Zeravani, emergency police, civil activities, traffic, civil defense and health teams) in all public places and places where citizens and tourists flock to it were divided into tasks.

In another topic of the meeting, the governor instructed the Erbil General Directorate of Tourism and the security of Erbil checkpoints, in addition to their own plans, programs and procedures, be fully prepared to welcome the large number of tourists who annually from central and southern Iraq and other countries flock to the capital of the Kurdistan Region and facilitate them. Finally, the governor thanked the security forces for fulfilling their duties, assured the citizens of Erbil, that their homes are protected with all their might, relying on the ability and vigilance of the security forces, and asked the citizens to cooperate.
