Erbil: Laying the foundation stone of the Emergency Nursing and Midwifery Center project

On Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Erbil Governor, Omed Khoshnaw, in Presence of the Erbil Central Mayor, Director General of Health, Director of Erbil Crisis Coordination Center and representatives of foreign organizations, in a ceremony, laid the foundation stone of the project of Nursing and Midwifery Development center for emergency preparedness in Baharka community, which is the first such project in Iraq.

In his speech, the governor of Erbil highlighted the human value of the center, which as a health and educational center plays a leading role in the rescue and treatment process, in a sensitive field such as nursing and midwifery.

It is worth mentioning that this center will be a continuous training center for graduates of health departments and will provide direct support to stabilize and monitor the health condition of citizens and prepare for emergencies and control difficult situations of citizens through emergency.The first phase of the project is funded by $2 million from Rokar with financial support from LDS.

At the end of the ceremony, the foundation stone of the center was laid by the Governor of Erbil.
