The Consul General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Erbil said that the friendship between Saudi Arabia and the Kurdistan Region is based on honesty and good intentions

On Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Consulate in Erbil, he was warmly welcomed by Saudi Arabia Consul General, Mohamad bin Suleman al-Oseri.

In the meeting, the Consul General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expressed his pleasure with the visit and stressed the bright history of relations between the Kurdistan Region and Saudi Arabia and described it as a kind of special friendship "because it is based on honesty and good intentions.".

For his part, Erbil Governor, Omed Khoshnaw praised the attitude of the Saudi Consul General and the humanitarian vision of the Saudi state, they have always been at the forefront of providing public service projects to countries and have been a permanent refuge for the poor and needy, the Governor thanked the ambassador for the assistance provided to the Kurdistan Region.

As Erbil, we will be part of providing all facilities for any project and work that is on the agenda of the Consul General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The governor also explained the issue of climate change, which is being discussed at the highest level in the world, and asked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to provide its assistance to the Kurdistan Region in this regard.

In response, the Consul General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia said that such concern reflects the loyalty of the governor to his people, the same concern has certainly been seen in the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia certainly understands these sincere feelings and takes all concerns seriously.
