Erbil… Construction of tenant housing units will begin in two very good locations

On Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Following the order of Prime Minister, Mr. Masrour Barzani, on the construction of housing units for tenants and the poor, under the supervision of Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil and in the presence of Hemin Qadir and Massoud Karash, Deputies of Governors, Governor Assistance, Central Mayor, Erbil Director General of Investment, Director General of Municipalities, Director of Planning and Development of Erbil and Director General of Roads of Erbil, a meeting was held.

At the beginning of the meeting, after reviewing the decisions and recommendations of the previous meeting and providing land, technical details, design and how to build and start the project by the Presidency of Erbil Municipality and Planning and Development Directorate, Erbil Governor stressed the need to implement the orders and recommendations of the Prime Minister on the construction of housing units for tenants and the poor. Decided to start the constructed of the project through the best investors in Kurdistan, with the best quality and style, in two very good locations in Erbil, located between 120 meters and 150 meters street.

In another topic of the meeting, a special committee was formed to start discriminating and separating the names of the (59 thousand) citizens who have filled out the application forms and then start the draw for applications to receive (6 thousand) housing units, all the conditions set must be implemented and the process must be conducted in a transparent, fair and impartial manner.

It is worth mentioning that Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, in early June this year, in order to eliminate the housing problem and welfare of tenants and poor and needy citizens, decided to build (20,000) housing units throughout the Kurdistan Region, (6,000) units in Erbil.
