The Iraqi Ministry of Trade distributes food baskets to refugees in camps according to food receipts

On Wednesday, December 21, 2022. The Minister of Trade  of the Iraqi Federal Government visited Hassan Sham and Khazri refugee camps, was received by Hemin Qadir, Deputy Governor of Erbil and Hussein Kalari, Director General of Crises in the Ministry of Interior. The Deputy Governor, in addition to congratulating him on his inauguration as minister in the new Iraqi government, stressed on providing more assistance to the refugees in the camps.

It is worth mentioning that the Iraqi Minister of Trade  distributed food baskets through food receipts to the refugees in the camps. They also requested that the aid be distributed in coordination with the Ministry of Migration and Refugees, Director of Erbil Crisis Coordination of the Ministry of Interior, Director of Crisis Coordination Center of Erbil governorate, Barzani Charitable Organization and the camp administration, in order to provide more services to the refugees.

It is worth mentioning that the aid covered only 6 camps out of 36 camps, and the aid is scheduled to continue.
