Shanidar Park

It is also located at Halabja Street, in the center of Erbil city, opposite Minara Park, near the Central Bank of the Region. It is distinguished by the wonderful architecture, and contains a gallery (Shanidar Gallery) for permanent decoration exhibition, as well as a cable car. It also contains a lot of touristic services and places for families to sit, in addition to many waterfalls and streams. During the last few years, another new park was erected under the name of “Shanidar Park-2”, which is considered as one more step towards the progress of garden and park design in Erbil, in order to widen the green spaces. Shanidar Park-2 lies next to the first park, and they are both neighbored by wide green spaces and many beautiful and wonderful fountains.
