Erbil: A high-level delegation of the Communist Party of China visits Erbil

On Sunday, February 12, 2023, a high Level delegation of the Communist Party of China arrived at Erbil International Airport, welcomed by Jaafar Imnaki, Head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's (KDP) Relations Bureau, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil and Hoshyar Siwaily, the delegation was accompanied by the Chinese Ambassador to Iraq and the Chinese Consul in Erbil.

During their discussions, the Chinese delegation emphasized their eagerness to collaborate with the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, and that they have a long agenda for joint work.

In turn, Jaafar Imnaki, representing the Kurdish delegation, expressed hope that their visit would be fruitful and that both sides would be able to further develop relations between the Kurdistan Region and China. The delegation is expected to stay in the Kurdistan Region for several days and meet with Kurdistan Regional Government officials.
 

This visit is a significant step towards enhancing the ties between China and the Kurdistan Region and paves the way for future collaboration and cooperation.
