The Interior Ministry has set a deadline for collecting aid for earthquake victims

The campaign to collect aid for earthquake victims in Turkey, North Kurdistan, Syria, and West Kurdistan will end on Friday evening (February 17, 2023), according to a statement from the Ministry of Interior.
 

The statement issued by the Ministry of Interior of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) on Monday (February 13, 2023) and stated the campaign will end on Friday evening, February 17, 2023, in order to expedite the delivery of aid to the victims of the earthquake in Turkey, North Kurdistan, Syria and West Kurdistan.

The aid will be sorted and prepared by teams of governorate , autonomous administrations, and volunteers, and will be delivered to Turkey and Syria on a daily basis to assist the victims. "We are extremely grateful to the Kurdistan people, who have, as always, participated in this campaign and shared their homes and assets with the victims," the Ministry of Interior said.

Following the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government's order to assist earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria, and the decision of the Council of Ministers to assign governorate and autonomous administrations to supervise the Kurdish citizens' aid collection campaign, we are grateful to the Kurdistan people, who have actively participated in this campaign and shared their belongings and wealth with the victims, as they have always done. The collected aid is classified and prepared by teams of governorate, autonomous administrations, and volunteers before being delivered to victims in Turkey and Syria on a daily basis. In order to expedite the delivery of aid to the victims, the campaign will end on Friday evening, February 17, 2023.
