The governor of Erbil receives a trade and political delegation from the Turkish Justice and Development Party

The Governor of Erbil, Omed Khoshnaw, received a trade and political delegation from the Turkish Justice and Development Party (AKP) at the governor's office on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

During the meeting, Erbil's governor expressed his condolences to the families of the earthquake victims in Turkey and wished the injured a speedy recovery. "What the Kurdistan Regional Government has done to assist earthquake victims is a humanitarian act," he said.

The Governor of Erbil emphasized ways to strengthen and upgrade relations between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey, particularly in the economic and trade fields.

The guest delegation, for their part, expressed their appreciation to the Kurdistan Region and its people, saying that "their country looks with appreciation at the humanitarian aid and aid provided by the Kurdistan Region and its rescue teams that arrived from the beginning to help the victims."
