Erbil Preparing for 13th 'Freedom and Newroz' Festival

On Saturday, February 25, 2023, a meeting was held in the governorate office under the supervision of Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw to discuss preparations for the 13th Freedom and Newroz Festival, commemorating the anniversary of the March 11 agreement and recalling the popular uprising of Erbil citizens and the city's liberation in 1991.

During the meeting, preparations for the 13th Freedom and Newroz Festival which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 11th, will last 10 days, were discussed.

It is worth mentioning that the Erbil governorate organizes an annual commemoration of the March 11, 1970 agreement, as well as the uprising of the people of Erbil against the dictatorial Baath regime and the liberation of the city on March 11, 1991.
