Heating systems are not allowed to be installed in houses or public places in Erbil without a Civil Defense license and scientific inspection

Today, Monday, February 27, 2023, Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw chaired a meeting in the presence of the governor's deputies and all relevant authorities to discuss the work of a committee to review and set the scientific conditions for central heating systems "Shofaz" in public places and homes, as well as the use of liquefied gas.

During the meeting, the committee's work to review and monitor liquefied gas heating systems and all places that use this system was discussed. The Governor of Erbil, for his part, emphasized that no company or individual should be allowed to install liquefied gas systems in restaurants, bakeries, or homes without the Civil Defense's approval.

In another aspect of the meeting, the governor of Erbil praised the committee's work to review and monitor the development of scientific conditions for the heating system, and emphasized the importance of providing more opportunities for companies so that citizens can benefit more from inspecting their gas systems.

At the end of the meeting, the governor of Erbil directed the competent authorities to conduct a statistic for all of the locations in the Erbil governorate that use this system, as well as to assign committees in the Erbil governorate's districts to monitor and organize all of the fuel stations that use liquefied gas systems for vehicles.
