Erbil... President Barzani lights the torch of Newroz, accompanied by the children of the martyrs

In the presence of the Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani, celebrations of Newroz and the Kurdish New Year took place this evening, Monday, March 20, 2023, in Shanadar Park in the capital, Erbil.

In a ceremony attended by the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, the governor of Erbil, ambassadors, consuls, diplomats, and country representatives, President Barzani lighted the Newroz flame with the children of martyrs.

In his speech during his participation in the ceremony, the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, congratulated the president, the families of the martyrs, the heroic Peshmerga, and all the people of Kurdistan on the occasion of Newroz and the Kurdish New Year.

He also urged citizens to protect the beautiful nature of Kurdistan and to observe traffic rules for their safety and the safety of their families during the celebration of Newroz.
