The Governor of Erbil receives the Indian Consul General in Erbil

The Governor of Erbil, Omed Khoshnaw, received the Consul General of the Republic of India, Mr. Subhash Chandra Kain at the Governor office on Monday, April 3, 2023, to mark the end of his duties.

During the meeting, the Governor of Erbil thanked the Indian Consul General for his role in strengthening relations between the Kurdistan Region and India, particularly in the fields of university education, providing scholarships for Kurdish students in various disciplines, and facilitating medical visas for Kurdish citizens who traveled to India for treatment, and wished him success in his future endeavors.

The Consul General of India in Erbil, for his part, thanked the Governor of Erbil for his continuous participation in all activities and work of the Indian Consulate in Erbil, as well as for his prominent role in providing facilities and expanding and developing bilateral relations between the two countries, which he considered a key to his success in his duties.
