On the centenary of Erbil of being a governorate, the governor of Erbil sends a message

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the transformation of Erbil into a governorate, Erbil is the city of love and peace, the majestic Citadel of coexistence and religious tolerance.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the residents of our city in particular, and to all Kurdistanis in general, and we hope that Erbil will always be beautiful, majestic, and prosperous, with stability and prosperity. Erbil represents prosperity and safety, and it carries the banner of coexistence, equality, and brotherhood. Over thousands of years, Erbil has been at the forefront of resistance, freedom, confrontation, and defense of our people's legitimate rights. A forerunner in the sacrifice and struggle for liberty. Kurdistan was the birthplace of revolutions and revolutionaries.

Erbil was and still is a place and haven for religious scholars, as well as a for great poets, writers, and artists, so every Kurd and Kurdistani anywhere in the world are proud of Erbil, Kurdistan's capital.

We hope that God will grant us the opportunity to use the centennial of the establishment of the Erbil Governorate as a foundation for future construction, prosperity, and well-being, as well as to provide more service to our citizens.

Once again, congratulations to us and the beloved residents of our city and the whole of Kurdistan on the 100th anniversary of Erbil becoming a governorate.
