In Erbil… The Refugee Registration and Protection Center was opened

On Thursday, May 4, 2023, in the presence of Rebar Ahmad, Interior Minister, Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw, Director General of Security, Deputy Minister of Education, Kuwait Consul in Erbil, Refugee Organization Representative in Iraq and a number of other administrative and government officials, a refugee registration and protection center was opened in Baherka district.

The center is a collaborative effort between the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the Ministry of Interior in Kurdistan, with funding from the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, it was constructed on an area of 7,800 square meters at a cost of $1.4 million.
