200 million dinars have been approved for the restoration of Erbil Citadel

On the Erbil Governorate budget, it was given approval to spend 200 million dinars to provide supplies and repair the Citadel of Erbil, one of the most significant cultural sites in the region, and has a significant design, architecture, and architectural character, and has been a residence for six thousands years.
 

In addition to the allocated budget, the Citadel's electricity is currently being operated underground in order to demonstrate the beautiful appearance of the Citadel and the great monument that is the pride of our people, the Citadel's main street has been renovated, and many restaurants and cafes will open soon on the Citadel, and It will become a major tourist attraction in the heart of Erbil, attracting a significant number of tourists and locals.

It is important to note that the Erbil Citadel is circular, with a surface area of 102,190 square meters, and is located in the center of Erbil, at an altitude of 415 meters above sea level and 26 meters and 25 centimeters above the surface of Erbil; at its greatest point, it reaches approximately 30m.
