Governor of Erbil congratulates Muslims on Islamic New Year

Today, Wednesday, July 19, 2023, Governor of Erbil Omed Khoshnaw congratulated Muslims in Kurdistan and around the world on the occasion of the new Hijri year and wished everyone a happy new year.

The following is the text of the congratulations:

With the arrival of the Hijri New Year 1445, we express our heartfelt congratulations and blessings to all Muslims in Kurdistan and around the world, particularly Erbil citizens.

We hope that the new year will bring everyone goodwill, and peace, and that the new year of immigration will be one of prosperity, joy, and triumph over all of the Kurdish people's difficulties.

On this occasion, we remind the Islamic peoples that the migration of the Messenger (peace be upon him) and his companions from Makkah Al-Mukarramah to Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah was the beginning of a great turning point for Muslims.
