The Governor of Erbil and the Mayor of Nashville met

Today, September 7, 2023, Governor Omed Khoshnaw of Erbil, accompanied by Trifa Aziz, Kurdistan Regional Government Representative in the United States, and her accompanying delegation, met with the Mayor of Nashville, John Cooper, and a number of other members of the city's provincial council.

In addition, the parties discussed the expansion of cultural, service, educational, health, artistic, and athletic ties between Erbil, the capital, and Nashville, Tennessee.

The governor of Erbil, Omed Khoshnaw, thanked the Nashville City Council for unanimously approving the decision to twin Erbil and Nashville.

The Governor of Erbil then visited the departments of the Nashville Provincial Council, joined by the Mayor of Nashville and a number of other municipal council members.
