A joint meeting was convened to discuss the signing of the sister agreement between Erbil and Nashville

On Saturday, September 9, 2023, following the signing of the sisterhood agreement between Erbil and Nashville, a meeting was held on the signing of the Erbil-Nashville Sister Agreement, chaired by Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, and in the presence of Trifa Aziz, Kurdistan Regional Government Representative in the United States, and a selection of Kurdish Diaspora and a number of civil society organizations, volunteers, and US citizens.

In a speech on the significance of signing the sister agreement between Erbil and Nashville, which aims to promote and develop relations between the United States and the Kurdistan Region in the fields of (cultural, cultural, economic, tourism, trade, and investment), Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw congratulated the citizens of Erbil and Nashville and thanked all those who have contributed to the sister project between Erbil and Nashville. He also expressed gratitude to the Kurdish Diaspora, the Kurdistan Regional Government Representation in Washington, the US Consulate in Erbil, US legislators, and Kurdish friends for their ongoing efforts.
