Erbil's Governor extends his congratulations to Freddie O'Connell on his election as Mayor of Nashville

We extend our sincerest congratulations to Mr. Freddie O'Connell on his election as Mayor of Nashville and wish him every success in his new position.

We would also like to thank Mr. John Cooper, the former mayor of the city, with whom we recently signed a twinning agreement between Erbil and Nashville.

We once again congratulate the newly-elected mayor of Nashville on his inauguration, and as we emphasized during our visit and meeting with him, we look forward to furthering our relations and friendship, as well as the Erbil-Nashville Agreement.

We reaffirm our commitment to the twinning agreement, as we emphasized during our recent visit and meeting, with the aim of fostering mutual understanding and friendship through the exchange of ideas and information in the fields of culture, education, law, health care, community leadership, local government, and higher education, technology, science, business and commerce, and sport, as well as other fields of mutual cooperation and shared interest.
