The governor of Erbil received the governor of Sine

On Thursday, October 5, 2023, Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw received Esmaeil Zarei Kousha, governor of Sine and an accompanying delegation, which included the Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs and the representative of the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Sine.

During the meeting, they emphasized on strengthening relations between the two provinces and strengthening trade and economic movements between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kurdistan Region. They also discussed the outcome of the agreement between Erbil and Urmia provinces, the agreement has been able to solve most of the problems between the two borders between Urmia and Erbil, therefore, the movement and trade situation at the international border gate of Haji Omeran - Tamarchin will see a great improvement. In this regard, both sides agreed to sign a memorandum and a similar agreement between Erbil and Sine.

Then the governor of Sine officially invited the governor of Erbil to visit Sine and for his part, the governor of Erbil accepted the invitation with gratitude and both considered the relationship between Salahaddin University and Kurdistan University of Sine as necessary and emphasized the benefits of scientific exchange and health in general.

The governor concluded by thanking the governor of Erbil for the cordial welcome, emphasizing the promotion of coordination and cooperation between the provinces of Erbil and Sine, and expressing his willingness to provide all assistance and facilities to strengthen relations and trade between the two provinces.
