On Sunday, October 29, 2023, Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw announced a plans to create a 100-bed burn hospital in Erbil at a cost of more than nine billion dinars.
The governor of Erbil, Omed Khoshnaw, stated that the governorate will continue to provide all villages, districts, and districts with the necessary service projects without discrimination and on an equal footing, particularly in poor neighborhoods.

"Construction of the largest burn hospital with a capacity of 100 beds will begin soon in Erbil Governorate on an area of 89 thousand square meters," he added. The project has been allotted 9 billion and 200 million dinars. All project implementation preparations have been finished, and the project will be placed out to bid soon."
