The 39th Khanzad International Rapid Championship was held

The 39th Rapid Khanzad International Chess Championship was held on November 23, 2023, under the supervision and attendance of Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil.
This international tournament was attended by over a hundred diversored competitors hailing from the Kurdistan Region, southern Iraq, Syria, and Iran.

The governor of Erbil presented Khanzad Club with a letter of appreciation for bringing chess into the lessons of this year's academic year in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, describing it as a historic achievement for the club.
