Erbil Governor receives Qatar Consul General

Today, Monday, November 4, 2023, Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw received Hussein Ali Saleh al-Fazala, Consul General of Qatar in the Kurdistan Region.
During the meeting, the governor congratulated Mr. Al Fazala on the inauguration of the Qatar Consulate and his appointment as the inaugural Consul General, wishing him success in this role and underlining the significance of fostering political, economic, and trade ties between Qatar and the Kurdistan Region.
He also praised the Red Crescent and the Qatari government for their previous collaboration and coordination with the Kurdistan Regional Government and Erbil Governorate on humanitarian and service projects.
The governor emphasized that, within the framework of the agenda of the Kurdistan Regional Government's ninth cabinet and with the direct support of the Prime Minister, the Kurdistan Region has paid special attention to strengthening economic and trade relations with countries, particularly in the agricultural sector, and exporting domestic products to neighboring countries.

For his part, the Qatari Consul praised the Governor of Erbil for all of his support and assistance, and stated his willingness to expand connections in all spheres.
