A delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government attended the IBBC Annual Conference

On Thursday, December 7, 2023, a delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government, led by Kamal Muslim, Minister of Trade and Industry, Bigard Talabani, Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, Dr. Mohammed Shukri, Chairman of the Investment Board, and Guhdar Shekho, Supervisor of the Zakho Independent Administration, attended the annual conference of the Iraqi Federation of Chambers of Commerce - IBBC. Several panels were presented by experts on the agriculture sector, education, rehabilitation, investment, and prosperity in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region throughout the conference.

In his statement, Dr. Mohammed Shukri, Chairman of the Investment Board, said, "I would like to welcome the participants one by one on behalf of Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government."

The Chairman of the Investment Board remarked on the investment environment in the Kurdistan Region, stating: “Investment in general has been a significant turning point in the development of the Kurdistan Region's economic foundations and institutions. With the direct support and guidance of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, the Kurdistan Regional Government has worked on a broad agenda that includes reforms and resolving the financial and political crisis, as well as working to build an economy.

It has grown stronger and more diverse, including self-sufficiency. The conference will last two days in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and will include topics such as energy, the environment, and finances.
