Erbil.. An expanded meeting between the Japanese Agency (JICA) and local companies in the region

On the evening of Monday, February 26, 2024, a significant meeting took place in Erbil. Sasan Awni, the Minister of Municipalities and Tourism in the Regional Government, and Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil, joined representatives from the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to discuss various service projects.
 

The meeting focused on discussing service projects undertaken by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in the Kurdistan Region. Additionally, there were deliberations on revising the organizational plan for the city of Erbil, highlighting the importance of ongoing coordination and collaborative efforts.
 

For their part, the Minister of Municipalities and Tourism and the Governor of Erbil pointed out the importance of service projects for Erbil, and stressed that amending the organizational plan for Erbil is one of the priorities and tasks of the Kurdistan Regional Government, which in turn will take Erbil to an advanced stage in all aspects.
 

It's noteworthy that the meeting saw the involvement of eight significant Japanese corporations across diverse sectors, along with a substantial presence of local companies in the private sector.
