The Governor of Erbil and the US Consul to Erbil inaugurate the Erbil Citadel Induction Center for Children

On April 28, 2024, Governor of Erbil, Omed Khoshnaw, and the US Consul in the Kurdistan Region, Mark Straw, inaugurated the Citadel Induction Center for Children, accompanied by the head of the High Commission for Erbil Citadel Revitalization and several other guests.
 

During his address, the Governor of Erbil extended congratulations to the children and tourists on the center's opening, stating, "We are delighted today to see the implementation of another aspect of the comprehensive plan for the restoration of Erbil Citadel."
 

He further remarked, "On behalf of Erbil Governorate and the Kurdistan Regional Government, we express our gratitude to the Consul, the staff of the American Consulate in Erbil, and the American government for their collaboration in executing numerous projects within the historic Erbil Citadel."

The Governor of Erbil emphasized that "the Kurdistan Regional Government, particularly the Prime Minister, is deeply committed to the preservation of the Citadel and personally oversees the restoration efforts of Erbil Citadel."

To conclude, the Governor of Erbil extended congratulations to both former and current members of the High Commission for Erbil Citadel Revitalization for their contributions to the restoration efforts of the Citadel. Following this, the Governor of Erbil and the American Consul in Erbil jointly inaugurated the "Citadel Induction Center for Children" and toured its various sections.
