Diyarbakir.. The Governor of Erbil visits Partîya Welatparêzanê Kurdistanî (PWK)

On May 1, 2024, Governor Omed Khoshnaw of Erbil, along with his delegation, visited the headquarters of the Partîya Welatparêzanê Kurdistanî (PWK)) in Diyarbakir. They were welcomed by Mustafa Ozcelik, the party's leader.
 

In the meeting, Governor Khoshnaw conveyed his pleasure at visiting Diyarbakir and taking part in the Mesopotamia Agriculture and Tourism Exhibition. He expressed gratitude to the Partîya Welatparêzanê Kurdistanî for their ongoing support for the Kurdistan Region, highlighting that the region's accomplishments were built upon the sacrifices of martyrs and the resilience of its people.
 

He further emphasized, "In light of these circumstances, we strive for our people to attain their rights through peaceful dialogue."
 

He underscored President Barzani and the Kurdistan Region's steadfast commitment to supporting the peace process aimed at resolving the Kurdish issue.
 

During another segment of the meeting, various topics pertaining to regional events and the role and status of the Kurdish community were addressed. Additionally, the discussion touched upon the significance of Kurdish political parties in facilitating the resumption of the peace process in Turkey and endorsing any corresponding measures.
 

Ultimately, both parties reached an agreement on the importance of collaboration and coordination among the political parties in Kurdistan.
