Governor of Erbil Meets with Co-Mayor of Cezire Municipality

On Friday, May 3, 2024, Governor Omed Khoshnaw of Erbil, accompanied by a delegation, visited the municipality of Cezire city in Turkey, where they were welcomed by Guler Yerbasan and Abdurrahim Durmus, the co-mayors of Cezire.

At the meeting, Governor Omed Khoshnaw of Erbil extended congratulations to the mayors of Cezire for their success in the recent municipal elections, offering best wishes for their tenure and emphasizing his desire for the continual growth of Cezire as a historical city. He underscored the importance of enhancing relations between the two regions.

During another part of the meeting, Governor Omed Khoshnaw of Erbil discussed the economic landscape and strategies for bolstering economic, industrial, commercial, and investment ties between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey. He emphasized that within the framework of existing laws and regulations in the Kurdistan Region, the Erbil Governorate offers full support and facilities to companies, traders, and investors.

The co-mayors of Cezire Municipality expressed their delight at the visit of Governor Omed Khoshnaw and his delegation, highlighting the significance of advancing and solidifying relations between the two entities. They affirmed their willingness to coordinate closely with the Governor of Erbil.
