Erbil... (42) Three-Wheeled Motorcycles Distributed to Low-Income Residents Around the City
On Tuesday afternoon, July 23, 2024, with the presence of Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil; Musa Ahmad, President of the Barzani Charity Foundation; Mishal Al-Hajri, Assistant to the Consul General of Qatar in Erbil; Naz Jalal, Director of Crisis Response and Coordination in Erbil Governorate; Hawre Ihsan, Director of the Erbil branch of the Iraqi Red Crescent; and Baha Ali Mohammed, Head of the Qatar Red Crescent office in Iraq, the Qatar Red Crescent and the Erbil branch of the Iraqi Red Crescent, in coordination with the Erbil Governate Crisis Response and Coordination directorate (EJCC), began distributing (42) three-wheeled motorcycles to low-income individuals around Erbil city. This initiative, costing $67,000, is part of a project aimed at creating livelihoods for families and supporting those with limited income.
During the ceremony, the Governor of Erbil praised the role of the Red Crescent organization and the government of Qatar in their cooperation and coordination with the Kurdistan Regional Government and Erbil Governorate over the past period. He particularly commended their humanitarian efforts and service projects, especially their coordination and cooperation with Erbil's crisis management and the Barzani Charity Foundation in serving low-income individuals, as well as refugees and displaced persons in camps within Erbil Governorate's borders.l
