France.. Meeting between the Governor of Erbil and the Mayor of Istanbul

Today, Thursday, July 25, 2024, Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil, met with Ekrem İmamoğlu, the Mayor of Istanbul, in Paris, the capital of France. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the climate change conference and within the framework of attending the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
 

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on strengthening and further developing relations between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey, as well as between Erbil and Istanbul. The Governor of Erbil officially invited the Mayor of Istanbul to visit Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region. Likewise, the Mayor of Istanbul formally invited the Governor of Erbil to visit Istanbul. Both parties gratefully accepted each other's invitations and reaffirmed their commitment to further develop their mutual relations.
