IRANIAN CONSUL GENERAL PAYS FAREWELL VISIT TO ERBIL GOVERNOR
Today, November 4, 2024. Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw received Nasrullah Rashnoudi, the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erbil, and his accompanying delegation at the Governor's Office for a farewell visit.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Governor Hemen Qadir, Shakir Hussein, Director General of KRG's Relations with Iran, Masoud Bateli, Supervisor of Haji Omaran International Community, Jawhar Mahmoud, Deputy Director General of Kurdistan Region Customs.
During the meeting, Consul General Rashnoudi announced the conclusion of his diplomatic mission in Erbil, noting that his government has appointed a new consul who will assume duties soon. He expressed his gratitude to the Governor and Erbil administration for their cooperation, coordination, and support throughout his years of service.
The Governor of Erbil acknowledged the significant role in enhancing relations between Erbil Province and West Azerbaijan (Urmia) and promoting trade and economic exchanges between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kurdistan Region at the Haj Omran - Tamarchin border. He expressed his appreciation and wished success for future initiatives, hoping that the same spirit of cooperation and friendship will continue with the new consul to further strengthen ties and expand relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In conclusion, the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erbil once again thanked the Governor of Erbil for all the cooperation and facilitation provided during his tenure in Erbil, the capital, in support of the consulate’s work.
