The Governor of Erbil attended the condolence ceremony for former Greek Prime Minister Costas Simitis

Today, Thursday, January 9, 2025, Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil, visited the Greek Consulate in Erbil to offer his condolences and participate in the mourning ceremony for Costas Simitis, the former Prime Minister of Greece.

The Governor of Erbil, while extending his condolences and on behalf of the city of Erbil to the Greek Consul, stressed the importance of continuing coordination and strengthening public relations between both sides. He also signed a message of remembrance and sympathy for the Greek people in the book of condolences.

On behalf of himself and the diplomats of the consulate, the Consul of Greece in Erbil expressed gratitude to the Governor of Erbil for their participation in the ceremony honoring their country’s former Prime Minister.
