Erbil... Indian National Day Celebration Held

On Monday evening, January 27, 2025, Omed Khoshnaw, the governor of Erbil, participated in the celebration of the National Day of the Republic of India. The event was organized by the Consulate General of India in Erbil, with the presence of several ministers, diplomats, members of parliament, party representatives, and political figures.
 

During the ceremony, the Governor of Erbil extended his congratulations to the Ambassador, Consul General, and the entire staff, as well as the Indian community in the Kurdistan Region in general and Erbil capital in particular. He emphasized the importance of advancing relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Republic of India, and reaffirmed his support for the Indian Consulate General in Erbil.
 

On January 27, 1950, the Constitution of India was approved, and India officially became a republic. Since that day, every year, Indians proudly and joyfully commemorate this day worldwide as their National Day, celebrating it with special ceremonies and festivities.
