Erbil Governor receives UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative in Iraq

Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw received Dr. Mohammed Al-Hassan, the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq, and his accompanying delegation at the historic Machko Cultural Cafe.
During a friendly gathering, participants emphasized the importance of harmony and coexistence while exchanging views on Iraq's political developments. The discussion highlighted that the lack of equitable justice and democracy would undermine the hopes built upon these principles. It was noted that the people of Iraq now need international community support more than ever to regain their footing.
In the latter part of the meeting, Erbil Governor accompanied the delegation on a tour of the historic Qaysari Bazaar and the ancient Erbil Citadel. Dr. Mohammed Al-Hassan expressed his admiration for Erbil's charm, describing it as a city that beautifully blends the ancient with the modern, complemented by its notably hospitable residents.
