Paris… The Kurdish New Year and Newroz celebration

On Thursday evening, March 27, 2025, in the presence of Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris, Shifa Barzani, Head of Kurdish Diaspora Desk at Barzani Headquarters, Dr. Ali Dolamari, KRG Representative to France, Dr. Kendal Nezan, President of Kurdish Institute in Paris, Iraqi Ambassador to France, Several French Parliament members and Senators, Kurdish and French politicians and diplomats and a significant number of guests and Kurdish diaspora members in France, The Presidency of the Paris Municipality, in coordination with the KRG Representative Office in France, organized a Newroz (Kurdish New Year) celebration at the Grand Paris City Hall.
 

During the ceremony, in a speech, the Governor of Erbil expressed his congratulations and joy for holding the Newroz celebration. Afterwards, he spoke about the importance of relations between the French people and the Kurds. Also, he expressed his thanks and admiration to the Mayor of Paris and her team, and with recognition, he spoke about the role of France in supporting the Kurdistan Region and the Kurdish people.
 

At the end, with the participation of several artists, the event became even more enchanting by presenting several songs and musical pieces.
